BIOGRAPHY

Reem Al Nasser is a Saudi artist and researcher from the Jazan region with an interest in cultural anthropology. She began her artistic practice in 2015. She graduated from Jazan University with a degree in Home Economics and later pursued studies in archaeological conservation and astrology.

Her practice centers on the concepts of time, movement, direction, and protection, exploring their relationships with memory, place, human behavior, and inherited social practices. Her work is grounded in research, observation, and documentation, tracing the remains of human experiences, folk knowledge, and material heritage across time.

Reem works across multiple media, including installation, photography, video, sound, and natural materials. Her work draws inspiration from archives, oral narratives, historical sites, and field observation. By bringing together research and visual practice, she rereads the past as a continuous presence whose influence extends into and transforms within the present.
